Am I announcing my essay?
I had to write a descriptive essay, and our teacher is adamant about not announcing. We were to go somewhere we'd never been before and write a report on it. My essay starts like this:
'Yoon’s Judo and Tae Kwon Do Club is a martial arts club that teaches traditional and Olympic style Judo and Tae Kwon Do. I got lucky with my timing, and when I arrived at Yoon’s there was already what looked like an advanced class taking place, so I asked if I could sit in and was enthusiastically welcomed.'
Doesn't sound like you are to me. Your just giving a casual explanation of what you did. You never announced where you were. It felt like reading a story of an experience.
