I'm scared - teaching teenagers?
I have a new job to teach IT to teenagers. I've never taught teenies before and they are between 15 - 19 teaching office and movie editing (which i have to learn a week before). Any advice on handling them? Behavior control etc.. .would be well appreciated. Im to work in a good school with a high salary but to be honest im taking plenty of dumps everyday over it. Can anyone advise me and calm my nerves? Also my course is new there is no preferred lesson plan, no previous to go on, i have to report my lesson plans back every week, on 3 month trial and the salary is high! Im so scared! pls help!
first , how old are you? if your right out of college, calm down, rely on your own personal experiences in high school, stay on point with the games/lies these kids are going to try ...if your older, use the wisdom of your years teaching and be flexable to how these kids are dealing with in todays world, keep yourself up to date with whats going on in they're world,
