Does the school teach their children to skate?
This is the week to teach first graders how to skate. My poor girl came to home all bruised and beaten yesterday. ... It made me think. We did not do interesting things like that when I was in the EP. And so, many parents are overprotective about any thing that could cause their children to "Hurt". So popular has this become the activity of primary schools? Also, how you and your children learn to skate? My daycare took us to the skating rink and practice are limited to other children and taught me with much trial and error. I've done Some attempts in teaching my daughter in the past, but she seemed to have no desire to develop a sense of balance, when I was there to catch it.
They are not part of PE, but busloads of children take to the track every week during the winter after school. It costs 50 cents, must bring their own helmet and skates and skate for 2 hours. It does a good job to teach them to skate. Not all parents have time for that nowadays.
