Solo Scriptura (Scripture Alone)....Problem?
Solo scritpura teaches us that scripture alone is the only authority by which we should regulate our life, as opposed to the leadership of the church. What I am trying to say is how can one believe in the infallibility of the written word, but at the same time not believe in the infallibility of the transition of leadership in the church. How can someone believe in the apostles’ written word (i.e., New Testament) but not believe in their ability to choose for themselves Christian leaders to replace them for the next generation? Or better than this, how can one believe that God would miraculously maintain the inerrancy of His written Word (which He did!), but not supervise the transition of the leadership of His church throughout the ages?
Scripture is infallible man is not. That is why Scripture alone is our authority.
