teaching tone in middle school
How can I help this student?

I'm a senior in high school that has an interest in entering teaching. In Today, I help to intern at a local high school for the 6th grade. I am very relaxed in the classroom, except for a child who tries and makes me feel welcome. The first day I came very bright tones are used to me, but I kept my cool and has yet to show any negativity. After a while, then I realized I was on an IEP and behavior never changes, I was worried and frustrated. Yesterday, my teacher came to observe me and she was still being nasty and disrespectful. She even said she hated me and when I asked why, he said it was only his opinion. I really wanted to throw it, but thats not what im all. What do I do with this student? ps I am of what he said his family life is not so great, so I'm sensing that you have trust issues, perhaps?

First, Each time a student is a lack of respect they need to be punished for it. If you do this, you are telling the students and all others who can walk about you. You need to ask your teacher what forms of discipline are appropriate in this situation. His students have to learn that he will not tolerate interruptions or lack respect of any of them. In addition, they need guidance. Even children who have family problems, need guidance and structure. Red
