teaching thanksgiving to preschool
What is an easy way to teach kids about cornucopia.?

I'm a preschool teacher and we are learning about thanksgiving. I can not find anything about cornucopias. Please Help!

Well, there's always the Wikipedia article for a start. But instead of trying to find out about any established history why don't you get the kids to make their own? That way the cornucopia takes on a personal meaning.

You could do a "what are you thankful for" type of activity. Each child lists three or so things that they are thankful for ("my mom", "my gran," "my cat," etc) and then makes a picture of each. The picture gets cut out and then pasted onto a paper cornucopia. Either each child gets their own or you could make a big one for the classroom or hallway wall for all the drawings to be displayed on.
