teaching speed running
Is it possible to upgrade a Mac G3 desktop?

My daughter was given an Apple G3 and runs really slow. Is there a way to get it at a speed faster processing? addition to compensation against the hard drive you can upgrade memory? Is there a way to make it work a little faster? I would like to start teaching my daughter to make a work of art on your Mac so that my children will not be able to use Photoshop? I PS 7

First, increasing the RAM to the maximum. I passed all my RAM at OWC Apple (http://www.macsales.com). Is PowerMac G3? Here is the link to find compatible RAM: http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/apple/memory/ The G3 is a very old - there is a limit to how much you can do it, but you can making it relatively feasible (especially if it's free!). Here are some of the improvements G3 (http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/accelerators/), including a processor update of that leads to 1GHz, but it's like $ 109 and you have to install it yourself - not too tricky though. I do not know if you want to spend money on an upgrade processor. I mean, you can find a G4 for a couple of hundred dollars if you catch Craigslist at the right time. However, a free Apple Apple is a free! Increase the RAM as high as you can - 256 MB is less than $ 15 and clean the hard drive, as you mentioned (have the boot disks, right?). You are allowed to make some basics, but not Photoshop CS4!
