what r the qualifications required to teach in middle schools and high schools except CSET in california?
what does the credentials mean for teaching in middle schools,high schools and elementary schools in california.i am post graduate in science .if i pass the CSET,what other trainings and courses required to be a teacher?pls help
All states require these items for a credential:
1. Subject matter verification. often cset
2. a credentialing program: university classes on methods and curriculum - often 1-2 years worth.
3. student teaching from an approved program
4. various other tests: cbest, language aquisition etc.
5. to clear your credential - you will now need cfasst training - often a two year program.
