Special Education licensure requirements?
I am a great story, and I do with my BA in less than two months. In recent times, I volunteer in Special Education classes and have developed a strong passion for the profession. Here in California, the requirements to enter a special education program credentials are, inter alia, a degree in any field, which obviously works for me. However, after getting my credential, is the fact that I (will) have a BA in History working against me when I try to become a teacher fast? For example, I can teach social studies to students with difficulties learning in high school or going to have to go back and get a degree in education or liberal arts? No school districts to look at the fact that a candidate has a degree in any field and a special education credential to hire someone for an opening of special education? Thank you.
