What review is better for the MCAT, Princeton or Kaplan??
in regards to getting the higher MCAT score and how it is taught.
I did Princeton Review and I got 31 and 32 (had to retake the exma because my score expired).
The Princeton Review is good if you like classroom time and group study. They spend a lot of time lecturing and you drill in class a lot. Then you can do practice problems at home in your spare time.
Kaplan is more independently-oriented. If you don't like classroom time, or you prefer studying alone, Kaplan is a better choice. They offer more online resources and practice books.
The quality of the teachers in either course is less dependent on the company and more dependent on your teacher pool. If you take these courses near an elite university, you are likely to have instructors who are grad students who are really well-versed in their respective fields. That was the case for me (I took Princeton Review classes in Berkeley and Los Angeles).
Personally, I like group studying and discussion. My cohorts would get together after PR class and do timed practice problems.
