Fremont College Revitalizes Associate’s Degree Business Administration

Cerritos, California (PRWEB), October 29, 2008 -- Fremont College, located in Cerritos, CA, has quickly responded to today’s turbulent business world by revitalizing the college’s Associate’s Degree in Business Administration Degree curriculum, to better meet the needs of the marketplace.  The curriculum will now be focused on customer service and marketing, arguably two of the most critical success factors in operating a business.

At the core of the Fremont College strategy is the hands-on, highly advanced approach to learning – Professional Action Learning Embedded with Industry TM (PAL).  With PAL, students learn by asking questions, working in teams, debating with friends and networking with instructors and industry professionals.  Integral to PAL is how the school successfully bridges the gap between the classroom and the workplace, teaching the real-world business classes that students need to win the job they’ve always wanted and preparing them for their first day of work.

The Fremont College Associate’s Degree in Business immerses students in the subject matter; they see and experience what they’re learning.  The college’s students and faculty embrace PAL, love coming to class and have incredible outcomes.  In just 15 months or less, lives are changed at Fremont College.

While taking business classes, students at Fremont College don’t listen to lectures and take notes. A top-notch college like Fremont College will instead teach students to develop their problem-solving skills and think analytically, addressing new trends and issues, i.e., What does it mean to be a sustainable business? How will the Internet continue to influence industries? Will the U.S. continue its market dominance?

“Instead of sitting on the sidelines, watching things happen, I’m actually acquiring the skills I need to make my ambitions come true,” says one Fremont College student. “I’ll be ready to maneuver in today’s business world.”

Says Chairman and CEO of Fremont College, Sabrina Kay, “A number of excellent institutions teach classes in business administration.  Few, however, can teach real-world practical classes with a timely and up-to-date curriculum that evolves to fit the ever-changing requirements of today’s workplace.  It is this combination of educational excellence and practical training that gives the Fremont College graduate a competitive edge.

About Fremont College

Fremont College was founded on the principal idea that education is the foundation for growth and that students should have the opportunity to develop their full potential. The Fremont College origins trace back to the school’s founding in St. Joseph, Missouri in 1879, as Platt College. A California campus was established in 1986 to broaden the reaches of its educational environment.

In 2006, Fremont College changed its name to Fremont College and undertook a major expansion plan, adding new degree programs, relocating to a new, modern facility in Cerritos, California, and establishing an advisory board of real-life business celebrities for each program.

Through its historical college background, Fremont College fosters integrity in students and appreciation for the academic journey between school and a professional, successful career.
