Most effective way to teach high frequency sight words?
We were just given our first set of high frequency words (15 of them) to review with our Kindergarten age child. He will be tested on them in several weeks. Unlike nouns, there is no picture or association to make with "The" "My" "you". What is the best method to teach these at home?
There are many fun games you can play with these. Here are several sites that your child may have fun with or give you ideas for games to create off line:

These are also often called "Word Wall Words" so if you look for games online you may want to use this term too. Chances are your child will be tested in a flashcard format, so it would be best to have him/her practice them like this as well.
Good luck and thanks for being a supportive parent!
