teaching gcse chemistry
Application form: Outside interests (Memberships, clubs etc.)?

I'm trying to apply to a summer school at a science research place.
It's very competitive to get in, but I really want to because I'm really interested in the things they teach there.
The application form states, 'what are your outside interests?'
People say I'm an excellent painter and writer = creative. I also love animals and teaching (assistant teacher at school and primary schools)... But isn't this a cliche? What sort of things would make me stand out more? I've also got the high grades to get in, but I don't study maths! (I study biology, chemistry, psychology + english) How do I emphaise my dislike for maths and love for english? (Even though I got an A in maths GCSE)
Please help!
Reading, yeah there's that too.
I'd lie if I would say I'm sporty because basket balls seem to be homing missiles to my head :p. But something team work related is important...

Suggest emphasise interests other than science itself because this will indicate your capacity to form relationships and interact. Sporting and outdoor interests come across better than passive activities such as reading, I'm told.
