Do Christians really believe the outer space is filled with water?
The bible (genesis) teaches us that on the second day God created a solid barrier (firmament) to separate the waters below (oceans, seas, etc) and waters above (outer space) The bible also explains that it is these waters that were let loose to cause the great flood of Noah. Do Christians really believe that if we shoot a rocket into space it will hit a solid barrier that is holding the water of space?
"And God made the firmament and separated the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament. And it was so." ~ Genesis 7
Young earth creationists teach that there was a firmament above the earth, they teach that this was a wall of watter, passably ice that shielded the earth from cosmic rays and that is why people lived so much longer in the days before the flood, the flood took was when this watter came crashing down to earth, so the upper firmament would no longer be there
my question for them is, where did all the watter go?
silly people, can't we grow up now
