im 14 and intrested in becoming a stunt double / stunt performer, advice....?

Well im a 14 year old girl and i have done gymnastics since i was 5, im very sporty and have taught my self a lot of trampolining, i am also very adventurous. this has always been what i have wanted to do and would like some advice on how to get into the industry, i am aware that i need to be 18 before i start training properly, but how can i train in the meantime, and what sports would i need to take up and learn. i live very near pinewood studios and london stunt school so when i am 18 it will be no poblem, im just looking for some advice. PLEASE HELP...!

Ah, gymnastics is an absolutely excellent training ground. Most of the female stunts tend to involve graceful turns and tumbles. You might also try some contact sports, beach volleyball may work as well (because of the falls and getting dirty).

Something to remember though, and I don't know if you caught the news because it happened in England, but a stunt double for the Harry Potter character recently got hurt, when he fell he couldn't feel his legs. While I've only seen a few short pieces of the HP series, I seem to recall that there were a few girls on brooms and flying around. If you were one of those and had to fly (you and the brooms on wires) past an explosion, that might be you. During the last Batman movie, someone (I don't remember if it was player or stagehand) got killed when they for real blew up a building (in the movie it was a hospital). You not only have to make sure you understand your stunts but you have to understand the insurance and other aspects of what would happen if the stunt went wrong or you fell just a little off what you intended, and your career, or life, were cut short.
