Compatibility between retirement systems for teachers of secondary schools, universities and government agencies?
I am a teacher of high State high school in California, with retirement benefits provided by CalSTRS on the basis of a centrally certified with years of experience in district and professional growth. If I decide to change and take a teaching position at a community college or UC (University of California or Cal State) or work in education in a government agency such as USAID, for example, I receive a full transfer of my retirement benefits in their own retirement system or not?
The rules are complicated and not easy. Ask for a written decision of the Community College or the agency that manages their pension regulations. /
