teaching citizenship in the nation
Do you agree with the California judge who outlawed homeschooling about the purpose of public schools?

"A primary purpose of the educational system is to train school children in good citizenship, patriotism and loyalty to the state and the nation as a means of protecting the public welfare." - Judge H. Walter Croskey in his decision in which he outlawed homeschooling in California

Do you agree with Judge Croskey's views about the purpose of public education? Would you want your children to be taught these things?

He may be correct in that is what the education system was set up to do. However, the state and nation has changed. When the system was started, prayer and the ten commandments were an integral part of the nation. Liberals with another agenda, have changed this and, even to mention God in schools can get a teacher into trouble.

A "good citizen" was once defined as a good Christian who obeyed the 10 commandments. Define one now! Maybe someone who lives by the credo "if it feels good, do it as long as it doesn't hurt anyone and forget about God and absolutes."

Home schooling will teach good citizenship that is good for the nation and good for the individual. Home schooling will teach patriotism to the nation that was set up 200 years ago. Home schooling will make students loyal to God and country - in that order which was the aim of our founding fathers who would teach that loyalty to God will make people loyal to a Godly country.

He is right but wrong.
