Does anyone know of a good article about Superman and American culture?
I am teaching an upper level ESL reading class and want to make them read articles about distinctly American topics. Thus, I want them to read some old Superman comics accompanied with an article or two about comic book heroes -- and Superman in particular -- and American culture. Specifically, I want articles that show how Superman has shaped and reflected American culture -- but nothing too difficult, as English is no student's first language in this class.
