teaching applications and interviews?
I am just about to start applying for Primary school teaching jobs! Can anyone help me, I need some advice? And help? I have a draft letter that I could send if anyone has the experience to look through it. Also advice on the questions they could ask would also be useful! Thanks xx
Make sure you get the following documents in order before applying:
* College Degree with transcripts of your work in education
* Teacher Certification (Licensure) from the state you wish to teach in
* A well written resume explaining your student teacher experience, any other work you have been involved in that will bolster your teaching skills, and mention here your GPA, honors, and civic groups you are/were a member of.
With that, do some research to determine the districts you would like to teach in and what their "new" teacher needs are. Send in your applications either in person, or on line if the district accepts the applications that way. FOLLOW UP. Don't expect them to come to you. Beat on their door and let them see you are really interested. Good luck.
