teaching 1st grade subtraction

by admin on April 30, 2009

When teaching oneself and refreshing on math, in what order should I go?

Example... in 1st grade you learn addition, then subtraction, then multiplying ect. I would like to refresh myself on everything in a way that I don't miss out on certain steps and get confused. So pre algebra, then algebra 1, ect. What is the best order to go in for everything?

Well, that depends on what you already know. I expect you probably know at least a little of addition, subtraction, multiplcation, division and so on. If you do not you should start in a lower grade such as 3rd or 4th. but if you know those well you might want to start in pre-algebra. Then continue from there. But don't take my advise to the letter, neither I nor anyone esle knows what you are doing in your current moment so it's hard to tell. Hope I helped.
