Do the computer games really impact on the children's education?
I'm studying on the impact of the computer games on children's educational skills because i want to find out how computer games influence on the education of the children in order to understand if it is the easier and better way of teaching them.
Games are a learning tool. always. Most family board games are based on learning some simple skill to complex relations in stratogy.
computer games are the same, Microsoft put games on the first Desktop software so that older people would be more comfortable learning how to use the PC. They started with simple games everyone knew, blackjack, maze, hearts etc.
Children pick up using PC's and other electronics quicker. However many games are structured to train the eye and hand to perform certian ways. Also the abilty to work multidemsional levels and skills are a great training tool.
The downside is certain games become addictive, both due to their mindlessness and graphic nature.
Interesting to me is that video and manual skills in gaming have improved but audio has limited use. (other then noise)
