Al Qaeda's Nuclear Bomb could be made in India
The deliberate ignorance of the growing vulnerability of Indian Nuclear Assets is showing the signs of extreme danger to the world’s peace.
India has been hiding the reality since long and tells the world that its Nuclear Assets including the Installations and the Arsenal are extremely safe and in secure hands. But repeated incidents of leakages, theft of Uranium and possible passing of important formulas, maps, diagrams and lot more to the Terrorist organizations are raising huge alarms for the world. It is hard thatIndia can hide this reality in covers now.
Recent events and the statements by the Indian Government display extreme confusion and nervousness in their approach to handle the ugly situation. Since last few years repeated incidents of Uranium being taken away by suspected people raised questions about the internal security of the Nuclear Reactors and Laboratories in India. It is also observed that those working in the Nuclear Installations are not being properly scrutinized before recruitment and their inquiry is made purely as formality. More ironic is that recruitments in the Indian Nuclear Installations are allegedly carried out on Political pressures and recommendations by the Members of the Parliament. The recruitments are carried out by Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited which is a Public Sector Enterprise under the administrative control of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. The Company was registered as a Public Limited Company under the Companies Act, 1956 in September 1987 with the objective of operating the atomic power stations and implementing the atomic power projects for generation of electricity in pursuance of the schemes and programs of the Government of India under the Atomic Energy Act, 1962. Dr SK Jain Chairman NPCIL should be the right person to answer the recent wave of incidents related to the Indian Nuclear Assets.
To assess the alarming situation we need to consider the following possibilities which are asking for World’s attention for strong action and emergency operation to secure any future theft of Uranium and the technology. The vulnerability of Indian Nuclear Assets shows that it is providing an easy opportunity of making Nuclear Bombs to terrorists which is so badly needed by the organizations like Al Qaeda and Lashkar-e-Taiba. All the focus is set on Pakistan regarding the possible taking over of Nuclear Arsenal by Muslim extremists (which is now quite impossible due to laudable success of Pakistan's Army which pushed extremists way back by giving great sacrifices) but the eyes of the biggest super power are closed from the ugly possibility that India is proving to be the most easiest and most unhindered source for obtaining not only the raw material but also the technology for making any nuclear explosive device which may not be as powerful but can give huge loss to the American people who are the prime target of Al Qaeda after being badly beaten in Afghanistan and Pakistan by US, NATO and Pakistani forces. It would be a great achievement for Al Qaeda if they could teach a lesson to Americans through dirty bombs or low intensity nuclear explosives which can rock any city of America and turn that into dust.
To understand the intensity of this threat we should look at the following chain of incidents happening repeatedly inside India which are alarming and serious in terms of the safety of Nuclear Technology and Assets.

The West Khasi police arrested four persons for trying to sell a kilogram of uranium that was reportedly stolen from the Atomic Mineral Division (AMD). The packet had the seal of the AMD and Government of India. Those arrested include the headman of Lumkya village in Ri-Bhoi district, Samuel Nongmalieh. This is the second time this year that the police have arrested people trying to sell “yellow cake” in a packet with seals of the AMD and GoI.
Speaking to The Indian Express on Tuesday, West Khasi Hills district Superintendent of Police M Kharkhrang said the other three arrested have been identified as Jiington Starwell Kharjahrin from Nongstoin, Dispillar Lawphniaw from Wahkaji and Starwell Kurbah of Mairang. He said the police are looking for John Khongmin and had gone to his village on Sunday, but found him absconding.
Kharkhrang said Khongmin, who is the son of an employee working for the AMD, had supplied the packet. He said: “We will send a team to the AMD in Shillong to investigate how the packet was smuggled out.” The packet will be sent to the AMD to verify whether it contains radioactive uranium.

Three people have been arrested with five kilos of uranium in Navi Mumbai on the outskirts of Mumbai.
Officials at the Department of Atomic Energy say the Navi Mumbai police sent them a sample of the uranium for testing. It has reportedly been identified as "useless" or depleted uranium; it cannot be used for making explosives.
More details are awaited; the Navi Mumbai police is expected to hold a presser on the arrests this afternoon.
In the above two events besides many other reported time and again, the statement of the authorities seems childish when they claim that the Uranium they recovered was useless or depleted.
It is for the knowledge of the readers and Indian Government in particular that the technology of recycling of depleted Uranium is available. The Recycled Uranium can be used for generation of power to preparation of Bombs too!!

Active Collection Bureau (ACB), Noble House, Brickmakers Castle Road, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME10 3RL UK does the Safe Recycling of depleted Uranium which is an evidence that India cannot run away by simply declaring that the Uranium it caught was depleted and of no use.
With this shocking reality we can well understand that even the depleted Uranium can be dangerous if recycled. We should take strong consideration to the reality that with the extensive pressure on Al Qaeda and LeT in Pakistani western borders due to solid operation initiated by Pakistani Forces and by NATO inside Afghanistan, Al Qaeda definitely needed a safer heaven where the chances of US Intervention and influence could not be expected. India is an ideal place which ensures that no American bombing and any action to be taken against them if they establish any sort of sanctuary inside that huge country. Nobody can ignore that many extremist organizations are already operating inside India which are working on similar lines like Al Qaeda did at the time of its infancy. Now few organizations like SIMI (Students Islamic Movement of India) which was banned by the Government and Indian Mujahideen which are believed to be the Indian brand of LeT along with Naxals/Maoists are potential buyers of this stolen Uranium. The available technology of Recycling can definitely make the so called depleted Uranium more than diamond for these organizations.
More over the Recycling of Tritium Recycling is also carried out by ACB which is UK’s Company. This also reveals that the technology of recycling is also available for Tritium and it clears the confusion as to why it was leaked or stolen from Kaiga Nuclear Plant in India in November 2009.
It is quite clear with above visible realities that Indian security measures for its Nuclear installations can be compared with any textile mill or even more unimportant organization it terms of requirement of the security measures.
In present situation when India is almost 45% captured by Naxals/Maoists and their Nuclear Installations are virtually kept hostage in the Areas of Naxals/Maoists control, then no body can save the world from the catastrophe and the trauma which the irresponsibility of the Indian Government can give.

The world should understand that only on few occasions the Indian agencies managed to recover the stolen Uranium but one can ask that how many times before this had happened and how many times this Uranium ended up in the hands of terrorists now believed to be aiming some bigger action against USA which President Obama also believes that Al Qaeda and its subsidiary organizations are still a huge threat to USA. However when we find USA ignoring the possible strong presence of Al Qaeda inside India and moreover their easy access to the Nuclear technology and the raw material in particular, this can give this terrorist organization a huge leap to become a menace again for USA’s national security.
It is time that the world should take the notice of poor security arrangements of India for their Nuclear Installations. It is also to be probed how much quantity of Uranium has already been passed on to the terrorist organizations.
Indian Government should answer to the world that how it can save its Nuclear Plants and Research facilities from Al Qaeda and other terrorist organization?
