science teaching jobs in pa

Can I get a teaching job with an underage and public drunkeness?

I was really immature in college. I was arrested once each my first 3 semesters for underage drinking, although only one is officially an underage, the other 2 were dropped to public drunkenness. Then there was one public drunkenness after college. I'm growing out of all of that, perhaps a little late.
I would really like to teach High School science and would go back to school to do so. Can I get hired in public schools with this record? I live in PA and know they can't hire teachers with a past underage, so I'll be looking at other states.

You may have to do a background check, so this stuff will likely show up, but I'm guessing they would probably give you a certificate of clearance anyways. Once you have the clearance, I don't think you have to worry anymore.

Note: This may be different state by state; this is how it works in California. They do a LiveScan which is where they take your fingerprints and run a background check on you. You have to do this to even get into a credential program.
