Question about going to college to be a teacher...
Long story short,I really want to be a health/phys ed teacher and coach a school team, but everyone tells me that it is difficult to find an open health/phys ed job because the teachers tend to stay in for a long time etc. My question is,can I go to college and get a degree for teaching phys ed/health and also maybe English or History as a back up plan? How many years of school am I looking at to do that? Thanks.
There are plenty of jobs for PE teachers. You may have to relocate, but the key to being a good teacher starts with teaching what you love. You will not be as effective teaching a subject you are not passionate about.
