Astrologers : Time zone and rising sign ?
I was born in malaysia on 1985, well the standard time zone for malaysia is +8 but studies from National University Singapore have shown that its just standardized from 6.45 for malaysia and 6.55 singapore. so astrologers should i follow +8 or +6.45. if i follow +8 i'm virgo rising and if im +6.45 then im leo rising. Please help me.

Its standardized according to ASEAN countries so that they can have better business communication and relationship, but how is that effects me ? I think i'm leo rising as how i feel about myself.

you need to convert the recorded time of your birth into an accurate grenwich mean time. To do so you need to find out exactly what factors were modifying the way time was being read when you were born.
If you own good charting software it will do all this for you.
The essentail answer is that it doesn't matter what is "right" or "wrong" - but what does matter is what whoever recorded your time thought was right. In other words if your dad looked at his watch when you were born - and on that basis you know your birth time - what is essential to know is why your father had his watch set the way he did. If HE thought the timezone was +8 when he looked at his watch, then that is the timeszone you have to use. If he thought it was +6.45 then you have to use THAT one.
Worse comes to worse you can do a birth time rectification by a competent astrologer
