Types of Illinois Teaching Certificates?

I'm about to start student teaching in the spring and am trying to get my resume ready so I can get hired in the fall of 2009. I'll be getting the certificate for Elementary (K-9), with middle school endorsements in language arts and social sciences. I'm not sure how to put that on my resume. The examples I've found on the internet state "Illinois Initial Elementary Certificate (Type 03)" and such. I'm not sure what type my certificate is or even what an INITIAL certificate is. The ISBE website hasn't been much help. Does anyone know how I can find this out? Thanks in advance for any help!

An initial certificate in IL is your first teaching certificate and it's only good for 4 years, it's conditional really. You have different requirements to fulfill in order to be able to renew and move up to your standard certificate. For example, if you have a student teacher in your first four years you cannot count that experience towards your renewal although a teacher with a standard certificate would be able to count that towards their renewal.

I don't know what type your elementary certificate is, it should say so on the certificate itself. If it doesn't just stating that you hold and initial elementary certificate should be enough on your resume, I've seen it done both ways.
