how to write teaching philosophy
How do you write a personal education philosophy?

I am just starting in my teaching classes and they already want us to write this. I don't know where to begin????

This history, though somewhat complex may help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philosophy_of_education

This is an example that you can read: http://www.tcnj.edu/~malloy2/education_philosophy.htm

http://www.msu.edu/~robinsda/philos.htm

http://www.calumet.purdue.edu/facultysenate/curriculum/General_Education/gen_ed_phil_stat.html

Hope that these help. I am a Spanish teacher and part of my philosophy is to increase communication and understanding among diverse cultures. That is logical given my subject. Think about what you want to accomplish in a classroom. What do you want your kids to be able to do when they leave you?
