Teaching Assistants level 3?

I am a teaching assistant and have an NVQ 3 certificate, I hope after a child with SEN and Basic and am paying £ 600 a month, I realize that I've had great support from staff while I was training, but what bothers me is that it I have to cover for the teacher when going on a course or meeting and I still paid £ 600. Who talks to me, I'm thinking if I talk to tell me where to head get !!!!!!!!!!! or Should I talk to your help PLZ not know who to talk ?????????????

The role of assistant professor varies from school to school. I think there are a couple of issues here. The current climate of school places in a very difficult financial situation. The government has increased the quantity of PPA time for teachers, but provided no funds to cover it. The only way that schools can meet their needs is by employing a higher proportion of newly qualified teachers at the lower end of the wage scale. This gives them the opportunity of having a floating teacher to cover PPA time. Where this is not possible, they have to make greater use of assistants most qualified teacher. Where does this leave you? So your options are many. You may be able to obtain a performance related reward for those occasions when you teach the class, however, if you look at the job specifications, it is possible that states that this is part of the paper. If you really feel the school is taking the Mickey, you could apply for a position at another school. His level 3 qualification may be of help or a hindrance. It will help if there are schools looking for experienced personnel, will be a disadvantage if they are set to funds as there may be a minimum wage linked to their qualification. If you're down, then I would suggest having a word with the classroom teacher in the first instance and then his head.
