Different routes can be taken to become a teacher or teacher assistant in the UK?
To be a teacher in the UK has to have a degree in the subject chosen - if you are above 26 and then you can apply for QTS - which is essentially the job training at a school. This is the place to do PGCE one in college. Not need a degree to be a teaching assistant - and many schools now allow aides to make a higher education course allowing them to go and teach some groups. Good luck ..
