Do you see Islam as a future threat to Christianity?
One of the things I've noticed in the teaching of Muslim students and in dealing with Muslims in particular, is that they are very quick to condemn Christianity. They hear a portion of the Bible or read part of the Bible and say things immediately as: "Jesus never said he was God." "This is false." Answer: He who sees me sees the Father, because Father and I are one. Despite that attempts to explain the places where Jesus did indicate that he was fully God, read the Bible like the Koran. I find a strong and forceful opposition to seems to want to destroy Christianity. They believe, as the Idiot's Guide to the Koran, that Islam is the next one true religion. Now I know their Muslim neighbors say, "We do not want to destroy Christianity." But what I see in the actions of many Muslims, leads me to believe that a time when all this may turn to violence. I hope not, I hope I'm wrong.
And Chritianity Islam are like oil and water. Neither has the meaning common would be tolerant of others ... and therefore, both are worthy of condemnation seriously!
