2012 is denied. If you've missed all the speculation that the world will end on 21 December 2012, but has recently seen the movie "2012" by director Roland Emmerich, then you will just have a crash course in Hollywood style in the doomsday scenario, and more. Many people were already very pessimistic about the world that lasts much longer, given concerns about overpopulation, the destruction of the world's forests, the depletion of land resources, pollution, global warming and terrorist attacks around the world now, possibly even with nuclear weapons being used. Doomsday in 2012, simply put a date for the end of the world and has led to the disasters that most of us had never considered before.

We have to thank Maya for the supply that date and December 21, 2012 is when the Long Count calendar ends in a cycle of 13 b'ak'tuns or a total of about 5125 years. Many scholars insist sober that the Maya did not say anything about what happens after that date and that could mean nothing more stressful than starting a new calendar, but millions more that fear is running out in the Mesoamerican calendar marks the end of the world as we know it. Maya scholars are increasingly irritated by all this talk and say that such speculation is a misrepresentation of the Mayan religion and mythology. Just the same, the Internet is full of sites proclaiming that Doomsday is about happen.

Moreover, many New Agers, they predict that this date marks the beginning of a great shift in consciousness and begin the Aquarian Age. My prediction is that neither the Doomsday, and a great new "awakening" will happen on that date, but many people celebrate Christmas, four days later, with an immense sense of relief that the world did not end. As to why nothing happened, the New Age will have an easier time of it, as even a guru teaching a new form of dance Ring around the Rosie at the top of a mountain in Colorado can be presented as the beginning of the shift in consciousness that "the Maya prophesied about "blah blah.

One question many Christians are asking now, however, while we are still waiting for 2012-is, "says the Bible how the world will end? "Yes, yes. And the cooling step in question, Revelation 16:18-21, describes many of these catastrophic events that Roland Emmerich movie so graphically describes:

1. All land will be destroyed by the largest earthquake ever to strike.
2. All buildings and skyscrapers in every nation on earth will.
3. The decision system of the city, Babylon, is divided into three parts.
4. Each island was removed of place.
5. Entire mountains split and collapse in thunderous landslide.
6. 100-hail pounds (whether meteorites or volcanic debris) are falling.

But when land is affected by the destruction described in Revelation 16:17-21? According to the Word of God, this global earthquake can not happen until the end of seven years of Antichrist's reign, not on earth and the Antichrist even appeared on the world stage, however, we began to reign over. So the end is a way off yet.

So when Jesus will return and the end of the world? We do not know. Jesus said, "The day and when no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but only the Father "(Matthew 24:36). So be very, very careful of those who predict dates.
