Do you use HOME-MADE educational games in your homeschool?
I love using home-made educational games and have made well over 1000 games while teaching my three children. I am now working with my grandsons. I also teach workshops on making games for learning. I would love to hear about educational games others have made and use in their homeschool.
My kids make their own boardgames, I don't make the games myself. I feel that it's part of their educational experience to be able to logically plan out a board, and make up the rules, and find people to play with.
On the other hand, I do usually carry odds-n-ends in my overalls pocket, so if we're waiting in line or in an office, we pull them out and make up a game right then. Usually at least one die, some pennies, and yarn. Other things have included paper clips, random lego pieces, pokemon cards, just what ever I've picked up from the floor while cleaning and forgotten to put away.
