I am a student teacher and need some advice on lesson planning and classroom teaching.?
I am a student. I am pursuing my education to achieve a diploma in teaching. Gonna finish my course within four months. At present, we must teach students practice. I chose to teaching grade 1. The teacher asked me to teach children about "speaking with expressions to ask questions politely. For example. I can go? "I can go play? I'm so confused, do not know how to start the topic and explain to them and what materials to use and what activities to give. I will appreciate if I get some advice of some professional teachers or anyone who has some ideas on this subject. Thank you.
I have never been taught a lesson like this, but here are some ideas that I thought: You could have the class brainstorm a list of words or expressions polite (please, I can, etc..) You could give to scenes of the boys, who have to act with others as a way to practice being polite. Or you could have acted as rude, and then act how polite. Then the children could discuss the differences and why the polite way is better. They could do a drawing and use inventive spelling tell about how they were going to ask a question politely. You could ask the questions of children, both polite and rude manners and have to use a "Reply all" to respond. This could be thumbs up or thumbs down, Popsicle sticks with a green edge and red end, pictures of faces smiley / frowny faces. You could make a book of various expressions of courtesy can be used this year in school.
