Do you have to have a substitute teacher permit from the State (CA) to sub Catholic schools?
I was hoping to begin substitute teaching, but takes a long time to get my permission of the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. I was wondering if this permit is necessary for careers in sub Catholic schools?
No, as a private, Catholic schools can hire someone who wants to teach, regardless of whether they have teaching credentials. Is handy for them, but it sounds like you are already in the receiving process, so that should be a consideration positive. Definitely look at it, be able to find a placement.
