Christians - Do you see a connection between Christianity and Buddhism?
Recently I have been reading a lot of appointments and related texts Buddhism and I really like what he teaches, but I'm not Buddhist, I am a Christian. I know that Buddha was a philosopher and not held in such high regards as a deity real, but I also know that some people probably think of him as a god and I do not start thinking that way from what I've been trying to avoid too much to the Buddhist teachings. Do any other Christians out there think the connection between Christianity and Buddhism is very close to the way Jesus and Buddha both teach peace and mercy of your neighbor, and if so, should we put into practice the Buddhist teachings?
Oh definitely. I was at a local restaurant Viet picked up a book of daily devotional Buddhist and had a lot of similarities in it for many Christian teachings. I think a Christian can be spiritual and philosophical Buddhist at the same time.
