Inequalities in education?

I know that inequalities. But now I have to teach a class of middle school. What would the best way to do it? I want to teach what they are interested! Any ideas to make it fun or some sort of activity?

This is what I think is an interesting way. Use several boys of different sizes, obviously and compare their height or weight. Do this in a discreet manner, however, that not to embarrass children. You could get that break into groups and compare each of the weights and heights of others. Get to write these steps on a piece of paper and have each group to show the class how they arrived at their conclusions. For example, suppose the height is 5 '2 Mike and Bill Height is 5 '4 ". Then its inequalities could be written symbolically as B> M or M <B, and could use your actual height and convert them to decimal values. In this case, 5.33 m> Ft.or 5.17 ft 5.17 <5.33 ft would even be possible to combine the weights or heights to show how the inequalities of work. Suppose we compare the known weight two or more students to the known weight of only one student. Then we could add or subtract the weights or heights and show that inequality comparisons can be of sums or differences. These are only suggestions. Myriads of measurements, counts of objects or states of objects can be used. You could use statistical data such as crime rates and compare various cities, or total populaton, for another example. This is an interesting idea. This match science. Have you heard of the principle of entropy? Entropy is essentially equivalent to a state of disorder or randomness of a set or system. You could set two sets of objects composed of the same types of objects and the condition of each set to different degrees. Then ask the children to determine what is most entropy, or degree of disorder. Then we could express this inequality as, for example: S '> S "where S is the standard symbol used for expresses the entropy of a system, and S 'and S "represents the entropy of each.
